We have proactively updated our existing web accessibility standards to ensure that online questionnaires created in Snap Surveys can comply with the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at level AA. We are also compliant with many of the checkpoints at level AAA.
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) advises organisations to conform to WCAG 2.1 to better address the needs of web and mobile users with a wide range of disabilities. Conforming to these guidelines provides a clear level of accessibility for web surveys created in Snap Surveys.
Section 508 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the European standard for accessible ICT, EN 301-549, have both adopted WCAG 2.0 success criteria to Level AA conformance. As we have achieved compliance with WCAG2.1, which extends this, online surveys created in Snap Surveys can be compliant with Section 508 and EN 301-549.
In addition to this, our web surveys meet the UK Government requirements for all new public sector websites to comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and EN 301-549 by 23 September, 2019.
